For over 30 years, Tony Glenn has contributed to educating Nebraska's youth in various roles. Glenn earned his Bachelor's Degree in industrial education from Kearney State College and later earned his Master's in curriculum and instruction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. His career in education began as a high school teacher at North Platte High. Glenn taught auto mechanics and small engines for 21 years and was selected the 1989 Automotive Teacher of the Year. During this time, he was a SkillsUSA advisor and supervised three national championship teams, as well as numerous state title-winning teams. Since 2000, Glenn has worked for the Nebraska Department of Education as the Education Specialist for Skilled and Technical Sciences. He continues to be active with SkillsUSA-served on the SkillsUSA National Board for six years, appointed state director for one year, and selected as an Honorary Life Member of SkillsUSA in recognition of his dedication to the program. He serves on numerous local and state advisory councils and executive boards, and is a member of various associations, including the National Association of Manufacturers Education Council.
