Bill has worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) for 26 years. Experience includes positions in the Bridge Design, Bridge Maintenance, Transportation Planning, Traffic, Organizational Results and Construction and Materials Divisions. Currently holds the position of Research Administrator in the Construction and Materials Divisions Within this position is in charge of coordinating research activities for MoDOT.
Past work included the coordination of Intelligent Transportation System initiatives on a statewide basis. These included the Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS), Road Closure and Restriction Systems, Advanced Traveler Information Systems (ATIS), Commercial Vehicle Operations, including overseeing the Oversize and Overweight Permit Program. From 1999- 2001 was Project Manager for the North American International Trade Corridor ITS/CVO Planning Study. This was a multi-jurisdictional study looking at commercial vehicle activities along the I-29, I-35, I-80, I-90 and I-94 corridors.
Prior to Transportation Planning position, Bill was the Commercial Vehicle Information Systems and Networks (CVISN) Program Manager for the State of Missouri. This work is the coordinating of CVISN activities with the four Missouri state agencies involved with CVISN.
Graduated from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1984. Has been a registered Professional Engineer since 1990.
