Dr. Abiodun Akinwuntan's research interests include using simulation and virtual technologies to improve daily living activities after a neurological impairment. In particular, he established the Driving Simulation Laboratory at Georgia Regents University to provide support to patients and research participants with neurological conditions. He has 43 publications in peer-reviewed and refereed journals, such as the Journal of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Diseases, International Journal of MS Care, and NeuroRehabilitation. In 2013, Dr. Akinwuntan received the 2013-14 U.S. Fulbright Scholarship Award and was later named to the Fulbright Specialist Roster (2015). In July 2015, he was selected to serve as a member of the four-person peer review committee for all Fulbright grant applications to West and Central Africa.
