For this seminar Gabriela Perales, a Graduate Research Assistant at the Midwest Roadside Safety Facility, presents her research, "Empirical Side Friction Factors on Circular Horizontal Curves Near HRGCs." Ms. Perales introduces key terms to understand her research, outlines the questions she wanted to answer, explains the set-up of her test sites and data collection equipment, and analyzes her results. This same presentation was later given at the 57th Annual International Highway Engineering Exchange Program (IHEEP) Conference in September 2015.
