This program is open to all high school students regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, gender, or tribal affiliation and at no cost to the student. Application to this program does not guarantee enrollment. Applications will be reviewed and applicants will be informed of their acceptance.

Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center

Students Stay on Campus

Students will be staying on city campus at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Students will be assigned roommates.

Exterior of Knoll Residential Center

Travel Logistics

Transportation to and from various activity locations will be provided to participants for free. Please allow some flexibility in the pick up and drop off times due to traffic, construction, and delay from previous stops.

Lincoln Residents

Parents/guardians of students living in Lincoln, NE will be responsible for dropping off their student on Sunday, June 8 for the start of the academy, and picking them up at the end of the academy on Thursday, June 12.

Residents near Lyons, Walthill, and Macy

Students from these locations will be riding on one bus. Parents/guardians of students in these areas are responsible for getting their student to/from the pick up locations. Details regarding locations will be provided as the event date approaches.

Residents near Verdigre and Niobrara

Students from these locations will be riding on one bus. Parents/guardians of students in these areas are responsible for getting their student to/from the pick up locations. Details regarding locations will be provided as the event date approaches.
